The circular economy offers a sustainable alternative compared to the traditional linear economy. Whereas the linear economy is all about ‘take-make-consume-waste,’ the circular economy focuses on reusing and regenerating materials. Instead of depleting resources and creating waste, the circular economy is about creative thinking: how can we make products last longer, recover materials and turn waste into valuable raw materials? This creates a vibrant cycle of reuse and innovation, taking care of both the planet and our future.
The circular economy aims to eliminate waste. Used materials and parts are reused, redistributed, repaired, refurbished, remanufactured and/or recycled.
Circular or recyclable
A product is truly circular if no waste is created. That means that already in the production phase, recycled materials or sustainable bio-based materials are used to make the product instead of new materials. So a recyclable product, is not circular unless the materials in this product have been previously recycled. By definition, a circular product is always 100% recyclable.
But a 100% recyclable product, is not necessarily circular.
At Dataflex, we stand for the principles of a circular economy, where materials flow seamlessly in a closed loop. Our commitment to this ensures that our materials retain their highest value, reducing the need for new production and creating less waste. When product parts are too damaged to be refurbished, they are dismantled, the materials separated and eventually recycled. This creates a closed loop system in which the materials can essentially be (re)used indefinitely.

We do a lot to work as sustainable as possible. Our circularity program helps us to not only have a positive impact before our product reaches you, but more importantly to make sure it is utilised as much as possible afterwards.
Circularity Program
We offer all our customers the Dataflex Circularity Program. You can, starting from 50 pieces, return products you no longer need. We will do our best to repair and refurbish them to give them a new life. If products or parts are too damaged, we ensure proper recycling.
With this program, we can reduce up to 90% of the impact created during the first life cycle and keep the value of the product as high as possible
