Warranty and instructions for use, installation and safety
All our products are accompanied by a document describing the product's 'Warranty and instructions for use, installation and safety'. For your information, please read the contents of this document again below, in case you do not have the original.
This document contains important information about the product and should be read in full before further unpacking, installing or commissioning the product. Failure to fully follow the instructions in this document may result in serious personal injury or property damage.
Warranty conditions
The warranty means only that DFX will, at its option, replace any product, which ceases to function during the warranty period after purchase, with an equivalent product free of charge or repair it ('the warranty').
The Warranty will be void if (i) the defect is found to be a result of gross negligence or a manner of use, for which the product was not intended, (ii) proof of purchase cannot be produced at DFX's request, or (iii) it is found that the Warranty, safety, installation and usage instructions have not been followed.
The warranty is limited to only the aforementioned. Expressly, the Warranty shall not be construed as the acceptance of any liability of DFX that does not exist under applicable laws and regulations.
Safety instructions
WARNING! All the following safety instructions must be read completely and carefully! Failure to comply fully with these safety instructions may result in serious personal injury or damage to property.
- This Warranty and instructions for use, installation and safety ('Instructions') are part of the product, keep the Instructions in a place so that they can be consulted again and again.
- Ensure that other users of the product also have access to the Instructions to ensure safe use of the product.
- If the product is reinstalled after previous commissioning, the Instructions should be consulted again at all times.
- It is strongly recommended that the installation of this product be carried out by experienced technicians.
- If the product is intended for mounting another product, e.g. a monitor, computer or tablet, the installation instructions supplied with that other product should also be carefully followed.
- If in doubt about the correct way of installation or in case of a conflict between the installation instructions in this document and the instructions supplied with that other product as referred to under 4. above, the product must not be installed and/or put into service. In this case, contact the supplier.
- Keep both the product and the packaging material out of the reach of children! The product is equipped with small parts, which can be swallowed and thus cause death by suffocation.
- It is of utmost importance that all rotatable/movable (parts) of the product can move unhindered.
- Although the product has been designed and manufactured with the greatest possible care, the risk of trapping body parts such as fingers can never be completely ruled out. Always install and use the product with care and attention.
Installation and maintenance instructions
- These general installation and maintenance instructions supplement and do not replace the instructions as supplied with the product, e.g. the installation manual.
- Do not under any circumstances make any changes to the product; if the product in the form in which it is delivered cannot meet the wishes or requirements set for it, it should not be put into service.
- Before installation, check the soundness (condition) of the surface on which the product is placed (thickness, firmness and stability).
- The load capacity/load-bearing capacity of the product must not be exceeded, this is stated in the installation manual, among others.
- Select the diameter and depth of any fixing holes so that all dowels and screws can be easily and firmly secured. Before drilling the fixing holes, check that no electricity, water or other pipes run behind the fixing surface.
- Regularly check during use that the screw connections of the mounted product are still tight on the surface. Frequent movement can cause these connections to loosen.
- If the condition of the product, e.g. due to wear and tear, is such that the product can no longer be used safely, the product should be taken out of operation and care should be taken to ensure that it can no longer be used, even unintentionally or unknowingly by others.
- With movable / adjustable products, make sure that the mounted product can move unhindered around its system of axes.
- Note on cleaning: do not use corrosive or abrasive agents, only a damp cloth.
