Much to Celebrate in Our 5th Annual Sustainability Report

The recently published 2022 Dataflex Sustainability Report records a milestone year on our company’s sustainability journey. In December, we proudly announced that we had become a certified B Corp.

B Corp is widely recognized as the gold standard in sustainability-related accreditation, for which businesses are rigorously assessed in five categories: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. Only a fraction of the companies who sign up for B Corp assessment achieve certification.

Yet, we are even prouder to say, We are not stopping here.

Part of being a B Corp is understanding this is a journey that’s never over. We’ll be using the assessment process as a pathway to further reduce our negative impact and increase our positive impact on the world around us.

Year by year, step by step

B Corp status didn’t come out of the blue. It reflects Dataflex’s on-going progress on various fronts. Other 2022 highlights included:
• the launch of our employee volunteering program
• refurbishing 1327 monitor arms through our circularity program
• our continuing collaboration with Trees for All to ensure our carbon neutrality.

While goals for 2023 include:
• implementing a 360-degree employee feedback system
• expanding our non-career-specific life skills training
• catching up with our in-kind donation program to support charitable causes
• introducing a circular product series with bio-based, recyclable materials.

We are not here to showcase our achievement, but to challenge our stakeholders and our industry to work together and make real progress. We are happy to see some changes in the industry already, and hope that it ripples through and makes it a new norm.
